Hi all!
Ok, so I have 3 essays that I have to write. They are due on October 14th, however I want to get them done early so as I don't worry about them.
However, I'm finding it difficult to sit down, gather my info and start writing. The modivation is just not there.
However, with that said, honestly, I'm scared to write these essays. They are scholarship applications, and I've never written anything like this before. I feel like I dunno what I'm doing. I have the instructions, and it seems easy enough however when I start thinking about it I get nervous.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Hi there. THat's certainly a problem I'm sure many of us have had. I can definately relate. I suppose there's the old cliche "the sooner it's done, the sooner you can stop worying about it". But if you're anything like me, it never works. In truth, all you can really do is push yourslf. it's either that or procrastinate. Know yourself ad which way yworks best for you. Some people do amazing things with deadlines, and some people need that extra time to write, re-write and re-write agan. Having time to edit never hurts though. If nothing else, doing agood job may help keep you away from student loans?

Ouch. Speaking of re-writing, perhaps my previous post should be a lesson to me in re-reading what I post. Way too many typing errors.

Lol that's ok..And, thank you for your time in answering my question in giving me advice. Honestly, even if I were to win all 3 scholarships I still need to take out student lones..with that said, any bit of extra money will certainly go a long way.
As for how I work best..I'm pretty good with deadlines.

I got them in on time, however I didn't win anything.
Ah well, the way I see it is that someone must've needed the money more than I do. I was a bit disappointed, but ah well..at least I turned something in.

Glad you got it done, though you didn't win this time. There's always tomorrow.

When you find you can't start writing, they say the best way is to start writing.

I've tried it and it works. The first couple of sentences usually are shaky and need replacing, but after that it gets smoother, and poof, you're done.

Good for you Unique One. Sorry you didn't get it, but at least you tried. SO many people don't.
